# Production Facility Side-by-Side Pilot

For production environments with heavier airborne dust, start with a small side-by-side test.

## Pilot Setup

Paint a few areas at 1 oz per gallon and a few at 1.5 oz per gallon. Watch how they hold up in the actual facility before deciding which dose makes sense.

## Pick Fair Test Areas

Use areas that see similar airflow, dust exposure, cleaning schedules, lighting, and traffic.

Good options include:

- Support rooms
- Plant corridors
- Storage areas
- Maintenance rooms
- Doors
- Trim
- Painted walls near production traffic

## Use the Same Paint System

Keep the paint brand, color, sheen, primer, surface prep, and application method the same. The only thing that should change is the RepelX dose.

## Compare These Areas

- Control area: same paint without RepelX
- Standard RepelX area: 1 oz per gallon
- Heavy-dust test area: 1.5 oz per gallon

## Do Not Overdose

Do not exceed 1.5 oz per gallon without direct guidance. More additive does not automatically mean better dust resistance and can start to affect the finish.

## What to Measure

Take photos after painting, then again after normal facility exposure. Ask maintenance, cleaning, and operations staff which area looks better, cleans easier, and still looks like the intended paint finish.
