Walls Are Too Dusty. What Can I Do?

If your walls look dusty again right after cleaning, the cause may be airflow, fabric lint, pets, construction dust, dry air, or static charge on the paint.

Clean the room first. If you are repainting, RepelX can be mixed into compatible interior latex or acrylic paint to help the finished wall hold less dust from static.

Start with the dust source

Change filters, wipe vents, vacuum fabric-heavy areas, wash curtains if needed, and use a damp microfiber cloth instead of dry dusting. Dry dusting can move dust around without solving the problem.

Why paint can hold dust

Painted walls can build static charge from airflow, dry conditions, and normal contact. Fine dust and lint can cling to that surface, especially on darker colors and high-traffic rooms.

Where RepelX fits

RepelX is used when repainting. Add 1 fl oz per 1 gallon of compatible interior water-based latex or acrylic paint, stir thoroughly, and apply normally.

What it will not do

RepelX does not eliminate dust, clean the air, fix dirty ducts, or replace normal cleaning. It helps the painted surface hold less dust from static.
