Sources, Purposes & Retention

Sources: directly from you (when you submit the contact form or email us) and automatically from your device (standard server logs and analytics). Purposes: responding to messages, evaluating distribution opportunities, security, and legal compliance. Retention: we retain contact records for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping (typically 36 months), and longer if required by law.

Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the prior 12 months and have no plans to do so.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email us at privacy@repelpaint.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request" and tell us which right you wish to exercise. We will verify your identity using information you have previously provided to us (typically the email address used to contact us). We will respond within 45 days as required by law and may extend once by an additional 45 days with notice.

RepelX LLC does not sell your personal information for money or other valuable consideration, and does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

We also honor the browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request under California law for the device and browser on which it is enabled.

Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, using, or accessing our products and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of our products and website.

Product Use

RepelX™ Anti-Static Paint Additive is intended for use as directed on product labeling: mixed at 1 fl oz per 1 US gallon into interior water-based latex or acrylic paint only. It is not intended for exterior use, oil/solvent-based paints, food-contact surfaces, application to skin or fabric, or use by children. Users are responsible for following all application instructions, the Safety Data Sheet, and any applicable federal, state, and local regulations including VOC limits applicable to the finished paint mixture in your jurisdiction. We strongly recommend reading all product documentation, including the Safety Data Sheet, before use.

No Direct Sales Through This Website

This website is informational and is used to capture wholesale, distribution, and consumer messages. We do not currently process direct-to-consumer purchases through this website. Pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times, freight terms, return/refund policies, and shipping policies for any wholesale or sample order will be set out in a separate written agreement, purchase order acknowledgment, or invoice provided by RepelX LLC. Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer for sale.

Sample & Buyer-Evaluation Requests

Samples sent for buyer evaluation are provided for testing and qualification purposes only and may not be resold. Samples are subject to the same handling, storage, and disposal requirements as the commercial product. Recipients are responsible for compliance with all applicable hazardous-materials shipping, storage, and disposal regulations.

Marketing & Performance Statements

Statements on this website describing REPEL's effect on dust attraction (e.g., "helps reduce static," "helps resist dust," "stays cleaner between cleanings") are made consistent with the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on advertising substantiation and reflect the documented behavior of the active ingredient under controlled conditions. Individual real-world results vary based on paint brand, application method, surface, humidity, ventilation, and ambient dust load. RepelX™ does not eliminate dust and is not a substitute for cleaning.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use our products. Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product in question.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and product formulations — is the intellectual property of RepelX LLC and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without express written permission.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our products following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable federal and state laws. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts.

Active Ingredient Data

All product claims made on our website, packaging, and marketing materials are based on active ingredient data. Performance results are derived from testing of the formulation's active components under controlled conditions. Individual results may vary depending on application method, surface type, environmental conditions, and paint brand used.

VOC Content Disclosure

The undiluted RepelX™ additive contains approximately 10% isopropanol (CAS 67-63-0) as a carrier solvent, with a measured VOC content of approximately 102.6 g/L (0.86 lb/gal). RepelX™ is intended to be mixed into water-based latex or acrylic paint at 1 fl oz per 1 US gallon. At that directed dosage, the additive contributes approximately 0.8 g/L of VOC to the finished paint mixture. The total VOC content of the finished paint depends on the paint product into which RepelX™ is incorporated. We recommend consulting the VOC disclosure on your chosen paint product prior to application, particularly in jurisdictions with VOC-regulated coatings (e.g. CARB, OTC states, SCAQMD).

Disclaimer of Warranties

While we stand behind our formulations, product performance is not guaranteed in all circumstances. No warranty is made regarding compatibility with every paint brand, substrate, or application environment. Always test in an inconspicuous area before full application.

California Proposition 65

Based on the most current Safety Data Sheet for RepelX™ Anti-Static Paint Additive, the active ingredient and other known components of RepelX™ (including the isopropanol carrier, CAS 67-63-0) are not listed on the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) list of chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. No Proposition 65 warning is required for this product. We monitor OEHHA updates and will revise our labeling and this disclosure if a covered substance is added in the future.

Federal Hazardous Substances & Consumer Safety

RepelX™ Anti-Static Paint Additive is classified under OSHA HazCom 2012 / GHS as DANGER with the following primary hazards: Flammable Liquid (Cat. 2 — H225, "Highly flammable liquid and vapor"), Skin Irritation (Cat. 2 — H315, "Causes skin irritation"), and Serious Eye Irritation (Cat. 2A — H319, "Causes serious eye irritation"). HMIS rating: Health 2, Flammability 3, Physical Hazard 0. The product label and bottle carry the GHS pictograms (GHS02 Flame, GHS07 Exclamation Mark), signal word, hazard statements, and precautionary statements required by 16 CFR §1500 (Federal Hazardous Substances Act) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and hot surfaces. No smoking.

DOT shipping classification: UN1219, "Isopropanol mixture," Class 3 Flammable Liquid, Packing Group II. Ships ground only via UPS or FedEx Ground; not accepted by USPS or by air carriers.

FTC "Made in USA" Position

RepelX™ is bottled, labeled, and assembled in the United States. The active ingredient is sourced from a qualified international supplier. Consistent with the FTC's Made in USA Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 323), we do not make an unqualified "Made in USA" claim for the finished good and instead use the qualified statement "Bottled and assembled in the USA" where origin is referenced.

Net-Contents & Fair Packaging Disclosure

RepelX™ is offered in three sizes consistent with the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 1451–1461) and applicable state weights-and-measures rules: 8 fl oz (236 mL), 16 fl oz (473 mL), and 32 fl oz (946 mL). Net contents are stated on each bottle in both US customary and metric units.
