Why static matters
Fine dust, sawdust, lint, and pet hair are light enough to cling to charged surfaces. Dry air, plastic hoses, airflow, friction, and some paint finishes can make the problem more noticeable.
Static is only one cause
Dust can also stick because of rough paint, residue, dirty airflow, flat finishes, humidity patterns, or constant dust generation. Fix the source first, then improve the surface.
A simple wall test
Vacuum and wipe one section with a slightly damp microfiber cloth. Let it dry. If dust returns quickly in the same spot, look at airflow, dust source, paint finish, and static together.
Repainting with static support
